Fixes

How does the Google review kit work?

On a paid plan, the review kit on the Fixes page gives you your Google review link, a printable QR card and a message to send after each job. It follows Google's rules: ask every customer for an honest review, with no filtering and no rewards.

Reviews are one of the strongest signals for local recommendations, and Gemini and Google AI Overviews draw on Google Maps. When your profile has fewer than 100 Google reviews, your fixes include "Ask every customer for a Google review", and the kit sits inside that fix on the Fixes page.

What's in the kit

  • Your Google review link, found from your Google Business Profile. If we can't find it, the kit shows where to copy it in your profile and lets you paste it.
  • A QR code that opens your review form, and a printable sheet of 10 business cards for trucks, invoices and the counter.
  • A text message, an email and one reminder, ready to copy, in English, French and Spanish.

What we will never do

  • No gating: we never ask "Were you happy?" first and send only happy customers to Google. Google bans that.
  • No incentives: no discount, gift, contest entry or credit in exchange for a review.
  • No "only if you were happy" wording: every message asks for an honest review, good or bad. Send it to every customer.
  • No fake reviews: don't review your own business, and don't have staff, friends or family do it. That breaks Google's rules and, in Canada, can break competition law.
  • One reminder at most. More than that is pushy.

Tracking progress

Every weekly check reads your review count, so the Google reviews card on your dashboard shows how many you've gained since you started. It can't show how recent they are: we see a count and a rating, not dates. The fix is marked done on its own once a check sees 100 reviews. The kit is for trades and home services; it doesn't show for law firms or clinics, whose professional rules limit testimonials.
